London, June 2025 | From 9-13 June 2025, Nice hosted the Third United Nations Ocean Conference (UNOC3), focused on ‘Accelerating action and mobilising all actors to conserve and sustainably use the ocean’. It brought together global leaders to advance SDG target 14, highlighting the ratification of the High Seas Biodiversity Treaty (BBNJ), the ‘30x30’ target to protect 30% of the oceans by 2030 and the adoption of the Nice Ocean Action Plan, with voluntary commitments to address challenges such as plastic pollution, unsustainable fishing and maritime decarbonisation.
The FuturED Institute supports these goals through educational programmes in sustainability, international certifications and exchanges, and strategic alliances that drive innovation and the training of agents of change. In this way, we contribute to the transformation of the UNOC 2025 commitments into concrete actions through learning.
