SheCanHeCan (formerly GenderHopes) was established in 2011 as an organisation based in Monaco.
A longtime advocate for ending discrimination and gender-based violence, GenderHopes launched the first website www.monacosaysnotoviolence.org, as well as a brochure that was distributed across the country to inform and help victims of domestic violence in Monaco.
SheCanHeCan is a Monaco-based organisation whose main goal is to inspire and support girls to take on leadership roles. They encourage both girls and boys to challenge deep-seated gender stereotypes that limit life and develop their full potential.
SheCanHeCan also works to recognice the achievements and contributions of great women leaders throughout its history. It is an intersectional feminist organisation that works to provide girls, women, boys and men and those who identify as such with the opportunity to enhance their own potential in spaces that are defined to encourage them to pursue their future or current goals and aspirations regardless of the expectations of their gender. SheCanHeCan is committed to deconstructing the gender binary by showing children, teens, and adults that their bodies; their gender, their race and their sexuality do not have to determine what they want to achieve both personally and professionally.
